As an employer, you must pay SG contributions into your employees chosen fund, and you must also offer a complying super fund for contributions to be made into, should the employee not make a choice. However, employers who employ staff under any of the awards below, should check to see if their staff are entitled to receive Choice: • Certified Agreements (CA) • Australian Workplace Agreements (AWA) • State Awards If an employee is employed under a federal award you must offer choice regardless of whether the award requires contributions to be made to a specific superannuation fund.
