Every dollar you’ve ever put aside for super should be earning money for you. But if everything you’ve earned is spread across numerous old accounts, chances are it’s slowly being eaten away by fees and charges. When you find all of your lost super you can: • Roll it over into your OAMPS account • Maximise investment returns earned by having more in the one account • Avoid unnecessary fees You can find your lost super with ‘Superseeker’ online at www.ato.gov.au/super (make sure you have your TFN [Tax File Number] handy). As a member of the OAMPS Super Fund and providing we have your TFN we can conduct a search for any lost super on your behalf and will inform you should we locate a possible match. Another way is to contact your past employers and ring them to see who their super fund of choice was. Once you know who it is, ring them to see if your account is still active and find out what they require to roll your funds out. It may seem like a bit of a task, but it’s worth it in the long run.
